Artist painter Lyon – Contemporary – Abstract
Patrick Cristallini is a contemporary painter based in Lyon, France.
His artistic vocation was expressed from an early age through drawing, painting and musical composition.
At the end of the 2000s, he resolutely turned to abstract art, with the intention of expressing the beauty of the universe and nature through his paintings.
Now recognized for his original, innovative graphic work, he is regularly invited to exhibit.
He paints abstract, textured and colorful atmospheres inspired by the emotions he feels when in contact with nature.
He combines multiple techniques, particularly experimental ones, and conducts research into materials and their reactions.
It is this in-depth work that enables him to create works that come close to what nature could have produced.
In the majority of his creations, he uses polymer- and mineral-based textures, which seem to animate the canvas in the manner of sculpture. As for his color contributions, he uses oil, ink and acrylic paint, as well as pigments and ground minerals.
His palette is generally vivid and contrasting, and the play of transparency he applies creates a dynamic that arouses emotion.
